Concord Hill is a neighborhood restaurant that is owned and operated by Kate Sheldrick and Szoke Schaeffer. The ladies are native New Yorkers and met freshman year of high school, both growing up on the Upper West Side. Together they have over 30 years of restaurant experience. After gathering their family and friends to help paint the walls, build the bar and windows, and even make the tables by hand, Szoke and Kate opened Concord Hill's dutch-door in November 2014. Concord Hill's mission is to be an approachable neighborhood restaurant serving seasonal American food and aims to be the go-to spot for a variety of occasions--a solo midweek breakfast, oyster happy hour with coworkers, date night with a friend, and brunch with your crew. The owners are thrilled that the place is filled daily with familiar faces of regulars coming in to enjoy the breath of fresh air that they passionately set out to provide.
Chef Edie Ugot, who moved to New York from San Francisco, came to Concord Hill after honing her skills at The Spotted Pig, and before that at Anissa. She has created a well balanced menu with daily specials including a rotating burger and often features dishes that are influenced by the Filipino flavors of her upbringing (she also loves mismatched socks and ramen!). Concord Hill serves wine, beer and a variety of soju/wine based cocktails. The wine list is focused on organic and biodynamic natural wines, and the beers rotate - often from local Brooklyn breweries. Come visit us!
